What Makes Our Training So Effective?

Our medical coding program balances knowledge of medical science, technical skills and coding experience with assessment and evaluation by professional coding specialists who care about your success. Our practical approach takes students through a careful step-by-step study of what medical coders need to know to get the job done right.

After having studied the medical coding industry for years, specifically looking for ways to make our program the best in the nation, we have put together a team of coding specialists who are active and practicing in the field of coding. The Andrews School now offers a program that uses the best and eliminates time-wasting “fluff” or filler classes that add little or nothing to on-the-job success. Graduates can get out there and use the skills they’ve learned, knowing that they will also need to continue learning throughout their career.

This is a very practical course for those who want quality results. Our program is appropriate for those with or without previous medical background or education.

Our step-by-step program uses hundreds of exercises based on actual medical reports with challenging drills to build speed and accuracy. Students are exposed to situations and assignments they may encounter on the job, with a very careful assessment and evaluation of what the student has done. Students will not only know if they have coded correctly, but will also know why. This will pay off later on the job in quicker reimbursements and reduction of claim denials. Our graduates will be better prepared to help protect medical facilities against improper coding which could result in costly fines. These skills are likely to be ever more valuable in the future as the health care system grows even more complicated. While we will never claim to be perfect, our staff works diligently to provide the best for our students and graduates.
